Paint-Sation Review: Mess free painting for kids

Smaller members of the Empty Nest Household are big fans of crafts. Especially paints and glitter. But Empty Nest Mummy is not so much of a fan of tidying up afterwards. Can we find something to please us all?

The Paint-sation was bought as a birthday gift for Big Boy a few months back. Being a wily old bird, I put it to one side and packed it for our Italian summer holiday. We have six weeks of holiday together. That’s a lot of time for crafts. And lots of clearing up. Unless I could find a way of doing mess free painting for kids.

What is the Paint-sation?

It’s a light-weight plastic easel that comes with a ream of paper, two paintbrushes and….

…here comes the good bit..

…3 little lots of no-spill paint that clip onto either side of the easel.

The idea is that your kid can paint and create away to his heart’s content.

…which will make mum’s heart content.

Essentially, it’s mess free painting for kids.

Like all good things, it’s desperately simple. You just click the two halves of the easel together.

Add some paper.

Click each of the three no-spill paint pots to the side. There are 3 slots on either side, so great for left or right handed kids.

It’s super-easy to set up. A few clicks and you’re ready to create masterpieces.

..or portraits of your favourite Liverpool footballer, if footie is your obsession.

(Mo Salah, what do you think?)

And, guess what? The paints really really don’t spill!

Not even if you hold them upside down!

It really is the perfect way of mess free painting for kids.

Paint-sation, mummies of the world salute you!
