  1. Put the cornflakes in a ziplock bag and crush. Or give it to the kids to crush! Tip into a bowl.
  2. Crack the egg into a bowl and whisk it up. Again, a great job for the kids.
  3. Put flour into a third bowl.
  4. Get a large empty plate ready and put it at the end of the ‘workstation’.
  5. Slice the fillets up into finger shapes. They can be different sizes, daddy ones, mummy ones and baby ones.
  6. Roll the fish finger first in flour, then in egg, then in the smashed cornflakes. Repeat until you have done all the little fingers.
  7. Heat the oil or butter in a large frying pan over a medium heat.
  8. Add the fish fingers and fry for around 4 minutes each side. The exact time depends on how big the fingers are and how crunchy you like the coating.
